Reservations

A provisional reservation will be held for a maximum period of 7 days, from and including the date upon which the reservation was made and booking form sent out.

After 7 days the provisional reservation will expire, unless the Owners have received a fully completed booking form signed by the Group Leader, together with a cheque for the full deposit. A deposit of £200.00 is required to secure your rental dates.

A confirmation will be sent out on receipt of the deposit, advising of the total amount outstanding. Payment of the full balance owed is due 10 weeks before the date of departure. Non-clearance of the full balance within 8 weeks from the date of departure will lead to the automatic cancellation of the reservation.

In addition to the full balance payable 10 weeks prior to departure, the Owners will require a security deposit cheque. This will be set against any damage, losses (keys etc..) and accidental damage caused during the occupancy by any of the group members. This cheque will be returned within 21 days following the end of the booking, subject to the property management company reporting a clear inspection, which takes place immediately after the group vacate the property.

NB. If the security deposit is insufficient funds to cover the loss then the Owners property management company will invoice the Group Leader for the balance due. This amount should be paid in full within 14 days from the date of invoice. Should this balance be recieved, the Owners, property management or other appointed agents reserve the right to persue the Group Leader and /or other party members for full recovery of the amount with intrest and costs.

Amendments

The Group Leader is responsible for notifying the Owners in writing, of any proposed amendments to the confirmed reservation. Acceptance of any proposed amendment is at the discretion of the Owners. Amendments include, but not limited to the following events;-

Any suggested change to the dates and / or duration of the reservation.

Any changes to the occupants of Golden Palms as originally advised on the booking form.

Cancellation Charges

In the event that the Group Leader has to cancel the reservation, they should contact the Owners immediately by phone and confirm the same in writing by email or post as soon as possible.

Upon receipt of written confirmation of cancellation the following schedule of cancellation charges shall apply:

More than 10 weeks prior to date of departure    -  Deposit only

Between 10 & 6 weeks priot to date of departure - 30% of total reservation cost

Between 6 & 3 weeks prior to date of departure   - 50% of total reservation cost

Less than 3 weeks prior to date of departure        - 100% of total reservation cost

Pets and Smoking

No pets are allowed in Golden Palms at any time. Golden Palms is strictly non-smoking.

Duty of Care

All occupants should undertake the following;-

*  To take good care of our home

*  To report any loss or damage immediately to our local property management company

*   To familiarise themselves and comply with all health and safety rules posted in our home, including, but not limited to those relating to the use of pool and spa, the supervision of children and the prohibition of diving.(Please note; All occupants use the facilities of Golden Palms at their own risk)

*   To observe all relevant Florida State Laws and Polk County ordinances as well as the West Haven Homeowners Association. These for the most part are common sense and courtesy provisions relating to noise, litter obstruction and the like.

Owners Liability

The Owners accept no liability for any death, injury, loss or damage arising as a result directly or indirectly from the reservation or occupancy of Golden Palms.(Please note; all occupants of Golden Palms are strongly advised to arrange comprehensive travel insurance upon completion of the reservation.

The Owners do not accept liability for any loss or delay due to strikes, riots, political unrest, war, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, fire, flood, or weather or service disruption beyond their reasonable control.

Governing Law

 The contract made between us is made under the terms and conditions set out above. They are governed by English Law and we both agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts at all times.

Definitions

The Group Leader is the individual who completes and signs the booking form and who agrees on behalf of themselves and all others on the booking form. The Group Leader is bound by the above Terms and Conditions.

The Owners of Golden Palms are Yvonne and Steven Campbell.
